The first Royal Family Kids' Camp Lincoln was held in 2001 through the cooperation of five local churches. Every year we bring 50 children from the Lincoln area to RFKC, a camp specifically designed to meet the overwhelming and unique emotional needs of abused and/or neglected 7-to-11 year old children in foster care.
This year RFKC Lincoln will be held the week of July 26-30. Counselors and staff will arrive at camp the evening of July 25th to complete training and prepare the campground for the children.
RFKC is staffed completely by volunteers who have been carefully screened and trained. Volunteers commit to invest 5 days with these special children and have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives by giving each child positive memories and showing them that they are valuable.
Our annual camp budget is $30,000--this includes campground fees for the adults and children, bus transportation, activities and supplies, and a photo album and memory bag for each child to provide them with tangible reminders of the fun, love and acceptance they found at camp.
